The Philippines has been a target of terrorists, suicide bombers and those with similar ordeals. There have been several news that in the countryside, there are several terrorist factions situated and ready to combat and cripple the government anytime. I just do not understand why they have to risk other people’s lives just to have their point understood. Usually, I would just write or talk to influential people to have my voice heard. I think the reason behind those attacks has something to do with not being heard. I think their ideas were not taken in by the general public. But why waste people’s lives? It just doesn’t make any sense at all.

I just received an SMS message from a good friend of mine (and a reliable source I may say) that some crazy ass lunatic will be bombing the metro tomorrow at around 11AM Philippine time. Now, I really do not know and I honestly do not want this to happen, but if it does, it will surely take the public eye away from the current political issue that is hounding the country – ZTE multi-million dollar deal. I’m starting to look at a political issue now.

OK, before I turn into a detective of some sort, I have to end this now. To my fellow Filipino people, take care and keep a watchful eye. You may never notice this, but you might be talking to a suicide bomber. Be cautious and more importantly, be safe.

Marriage is such a broad term to discuss. I had a hard time telling my mother that I want to get married and it was doubly hard to tell my grandmother about it.

I have been going out with my fiance for the past 7 years and we are actually gearing towards our 8th year together. I know for a fact that I am still young and there are several things that I haven’t done in life yet. Actually, there are a whole lot of things! But I’ve been thinking, for the past 8 years I was not that confined in a relationship. I mean, I can go out with friends, have fun and do stuff on my own as well. My girlfriend and I managed to find time together and even managed to save huge bucks. It was nice to think that I grew up to be a man who can decide on his own. And then, I began to think again. Am I ready? Did I make the right decision in asking her to marry me? Yes I did.

For one reason – I know that I am ready. I believe that age really does not matter that much. Its more on being ready to be in a much deeper relationship and begin a new chapter in life. I know that I am ready to write the next chapter. Also, I know that I have a lot more to accomplish and experience but all of those, I want to experience with her by my side not as a girlfriend, not as a fiance but as a wife.

As I trudge along this decision that I made, I can already hear the wedding bells and the preparation is about to begin in a few months time. My dream wedding? Well, a solemn church wedding and a great reception at Fernwood Garden.

Am I ready? As Spongebob Squarepants would say… “I’m ready!”

Another year has passed and I’m not getting any younger (obviously). After my birthday which is actually a few days to go, I’m expecting more responsibilities at work, at home and for myself of course. Just like any typical person, I also have my own wishes for my birthday and I’m not gunning for any tech gadgets or basketball shoes. I’m looking for big things to happen. First, I want a condo unit. Second, I want a family of my own. Third, I want the old cliche – good health for me, my family and my loved ones.

And oh yeah, I forgot to mention.. I want a video cam. (so much for ‘no gadgets included’ huh?) I mean, look at this picture, its so freakin’ dull.
