Thought I would change the theme of the blog. It’s been on for the past few years. Hopefully, the new look would make me write better.

Manny Pacquiao Wins his 8th Title
Filipino fighting pride Manny Pacquiao won his 8th title beating Antonio “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito. It was an excellent fight. Manny overwhelmed Margarito with his speed, power and stamina. But let’s talk about Margarito instead.
He did not get knocked out. His conditioning was great considering the lay-off he had. This guy was relentless and he fought like he was never a champion. The 3-time champ showed people that he can stand and dance with Pacquiao’s power, tenacity, speed and stamina. If he had the speed, I think he had a better chance of getting the title.
There was one guy that caught my attention though. It was Brandon “Bam-Bam” Rios a rising lightweight star. He overwhelmed Lowther with his aggressive style. He was a bully in the ring and gives a witty grin that tells his opponents, “that didn’t hurt” or “that was a lucky punch”. He is definitely someone to look out for.
Going back to Manny, what’s next? He has won 8 different titles in 8 different weight classes and conquered almost everyone they placed in front of him. His 13th straight win was highlighted with a new belt in the biggest weight class he has been. So what’s next?
“A good soldier knows when to fight. The better soldier knows when not to.”
Let’s see how it goes.

Makati & Taguig – FU!
Early morning traffic… wow. Left home at 6AM, arrived at 9AM. Man, you have got to hate those stupid jeepney drivers, taxi drivers, tricycle drivers. Bloody bastards.

Yet another 4-hour meeting with my best friend – Traffic
OK.
Yesterday night was hell. The worst traffic I’ve ever experienced since I got back from Singapore. I left Taguig at around 7PM. I got home 12AM. Now if that wasn’t bad, I don’t know what is.
I got stuck in Makati for 2 freaking hours. 2 hours of crawling hell. Boy, do I hate that. I ate for an hour because it’s already 9PM and my wife and myself are starving. After eating, traffic is still there. It’s 10PM and the jam seemed to go stronger, longer and sure as hell hotter.
Oh well, I guess that’s how it is.
F*ck.

That’s it, Navotas! I’ve had enough!
OK, that’s it. I don’t know if anybody ever made a complaint and posted it online. I certainly hope I am not the first one. Road construction is killing every citizen.
Parking is doubly hard, traffic sucks, they had to re-route and take a u-turn about 1-2 km. away, public vehicles getting in every one’s nerves, everything is just pure chaos! Mayor John Rey Tiangco, please heed to the people’s call and ask your contractors to speed things up.
I will be honest with you, people are starting to leave Navotas. I’m sure you know about it and I’m sure you’re trying your best to work on making our city a better place but these constructions are just causing too much headache and chaos. They (workers) need to speed things up. I’m moving out maybe next year, my mom is planning to move out too along with some of our close relatives.
I grew up in Navotas and I’m very fond of the place. I love the basketball tournaments, I love going to Church, I love Navotas despite of all the negative things. So please, take care of our current situation.

Embassy issues
I just HATE it. So I went to this certain embassy to get my visa for my friend’s wedding. 1st problem – you can’t get there using your own car. Since its inside a village, you have to adhere to their rules. You sign-in at the guard house, then you wait for the shuttle. The shuttle was ugly, it was hot and the driver drove like a 12-year old. And guess what? It wasn’t free. It costs 150 pesos per head. Major F*CK UP.
Oh well.

Traffic jam everywhere
OK. Monday morning – first day of the week. The road looked like a parking lot outside our house. Construction of pipes is being done by guess who? Slow, irresponsible, sh*tty. You guessed it right! Maynilad Water Services. Bastards. It took me 20 minutes to get out of Navotas when normally its less than 5 minutes. I thought it was over.
Pier. Another construction is happening leaving only 1 freaking lane out of 5 big lanes in the highway. The result? Traffic jam.
Roxas Boulevard. Too many vehicles. Too many stupid policemen in front of the US Embassy. Those guys stop anyone virtually at any speed just to let some white guy cross the street or drive inside. What they are doing will definitely cause accidents that can easily be avoided. I mean, why not let those guys wait for their turn instead of just stopping everyone?!
Makati. OK, when I made the turn to Buendia Avenue just past the LRT station, traffic was hell. Buses, jeepneys, taxis, FXs, cars, motors, etc are all clogging the wide streets and not to mention people crossing from all directions. Because of the jam, I had to take a detour and take an alternate route near the Bonifacio army camp.
Surprise, surprise. Another traffic jam. One lane is closed because of some pipe construction (again, it had to be Maynilad. Bastards.) So yeah, my wife was late for 2 minutes. 2 f*cking minutes. If it weren’t for the traffic, I could’ve arrived earlier. And don’t tell me to leave earlier because I left home at 6AM and I arrived here at 8:40AM. It was that bad. That bad!

Earn money online!
OK. Here’s an alternative to the work you do in the office. When you’re bored, just try doing some data entry job over the net. You can earn at a minimum $1 per entry and get around $1.2K per month. Not bad right?
Ate my favorite food again
I almost forgot, when we visited my officemate in Medical City at Pasig, I had the best lunch ever. I ate my favorite Filipino food – Kare-kare. Its been awhile since I had Kare-kare again. So it was at this food court in Medical City at the 2nd floor right across the bridge way and it only cost me 89 pesos. Not bad at all!
Indeed, it was a great visit and an amazing Manila food trip.
Baby!
Just got back here in the office after visiting a colleague who just gave birth to a wonderful baby girl. Life indeed gives lots of exciting surprises. I wish the baby girl all the best and all the happiness in the world. I’m sure she’ll have a good life with her loving parents.
On another note, traffic was hell! It was late noon and the traffic sucked big time. I hate C5, I hate EDSA, I hate Makati. Geez, when will the traffic stop? Will there ever be a solution? Damn.
