Internet has been a major part of my life ever since I learned how to browse through its pages way back in High School. During that time, all I did was check e-mails, view pictures and read something about Vince Carter. But that was history.
A couple of months ago, I started writing articles and decided to keep my own blog just to log whatever it is that comes into my mind. Something similar to a diary. Problem is, it is open to the public. I do not really care anyway since my whole life is an open book. Anyway, I never thought that I could make use of my writing skills to earn money. All the while I thought that being a writer is just a mere hobby for me.
I am a Computer Science graduate who simply loves to write articles, essays, poems and even short stories. Literature has been my life since I was young. My career took a turning point when I got into computers but the passion and the flare for writing still remains and so, I decided to write.
Why is it fun to be a freelancer? I’m not saying that it is that fun but I am enjoying the fact that I get to work with people across the planet and learn things from them. Its a two-way process actually, they learn something from me, and I get to learn something from them as well. And the bonus part is, I’m earning money with the one thing that I love doing the most – writing. As of now, I think I’ll be a writer until such time that my fingers can no longer hold a pen or press keys.

Aloha! Funny, I’ve been writing a blog here at WordPress for some time but have only recently begun to wade through the community. You have an interesting blog going here. I was wondering, are you actually making good money with that oDesk service, or was that just an affiliate link that might get you a referral fee? I’m not trying to be rude but I am nearly desperate to find a way to make money writing.
Hey there! thanks for that comment. I don’t mind that don’t worry. =) Nope, its not a referral fee. I am really a freelance provider at oDesk. oDesk opens you up to a lot of service buyers worldwide. You just have to devote time in creating your profile and eventually bidding for a job. Why don’t you give it a try? It’s free anyway. I have been contacted by a couple of buyer’s who are interested in my service.
Sweet. I checked out a similar service before called “GigCrib” but they charge a membership fee and I didn’t want to pay it. I think I’ll give oDesk a whirl.
